On Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2010, someone committed a text message attack against East Wisconsin Savings Bank. The text message was sent to many cell phones within the Fox Valley. The message said that their East Wisconsin debit card had been deactivated and that they should call the number in the message to reactivate it. The attacker had no idea if the recipient had an East Wisconsin debit card. He just hoped that someone would call back and give their card number and PIN to him. The text message was totally fraudulent. If you received this message and you called the number back and gave any information to the perpetrator, contact the card operations staff at East Wisconsin Savings Bank at 920-766-4646. |
