Mark J. Recker
Assistant Chief
Fox Valley Metropolitan Police Department
Mark Recker is currently the Assitant Chief. He has served the
community since 1984 in a variety of roles as a Police Officer.
Assistant Chief Recker started his law enforcement career as a
Military Police Officer stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina in 1977.
After an honorable discharge from the Army in 1980, A/C Recker earned an
Associates Degree in Police Science from the Fox Valley Technical
Institute. While attending school A/C Recker worked at the Appleton
Police Department as a Meter Checker. Recker was hired at the Calumet
County Sheriff's Department in 1982 where he worked for two years as a
part-time/full-time jailer & dispatcher.
Assistant Chief Recker was hired as a Police Officer for the Village
of Kimberly in 1984. A/C Recker worked for the Kimberly Police Department
up until the time of the consolidation when Kimberly and Little Chute
merged to create the Fox Valley Metro Police Department.
Assistant Chief Recker has performed the duties of Field Training
Officer, SWAT Member, Drug Investigator, Police School Liaison Officer,
Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Gang Officer, Arson Investigator and
Community Support Lieutenant.
A.C. Recker obtained a Bachelors Degree in Management from Silver
Lake College in 2001
