This is an upper level law enforcement position within the structure of the police department responsible for the delivery of all administrative and support services, and shall command the following organizational components: Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Administrative Services and Training Bureaus. The Assistant Chief of Police is responsible for administering those bureaus under his command in all matters that pertain to administrative and operation aspects of the department: including but not limited to resource allocation, fiscal management, program direction, and ensuring that the purpose, goals, and objectives of the police department are carried out. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief of Police. Mark J. Recker  is currently the Assistant Chief of Police.
